I love cream blushers. They can make the skin look much fresher and brighter than powder blush can (sometimes!). Cream blushers are brilliant for all ages but especially good for mature skin (and dry skin).

The downside to many cream blushers is longevity. Not with Ere Perez Carrot Colour Pots though! These little pots wear for ages on the skin.

Ere Perez Carrot Pots are actually multi-purpose – they are suitable for both the cheeks and lips. This makes it super easy to create a makeup look that looks pulled together.

Ere Perez say of the blushers:

I have two pots in Holy and Hello. Hello is a warm leaning orange-red while Holy is a rich grape shade. I love both shades and plan to buy more.

The texture of the pots are balm like. The pigmentation is amazing! I recommend only applying it in small amounts so as to not overdo it.

Despite the balm-like texture the colour lasts pretty much all day on the skin. If you do need to touch up it’s easy to do with the pots being super-portable and having mirror packaging. More about application below!

What is in Ere Perez Carrot Pot Blushers?

The little pots not only pack a punch in pigmentation and longevity but they are also full of skin loving vegan ingredients. The key ingredients is unsurprisingly carrot. They also contain avocado oil and vitamin e. These ingredients help to give it the emollient feel so it’s amazing that the colour lasts so long.

The above ingredients also help give this blusher a beautiful natural radiance. Perfect for brightening up the complexion when you might be feeling less than radiant.

Full ingredients: hydrogenated olive oil, candelilla (euphorbia cerifera) wax, ozokerite, caprylic/capric triglyceride, avocado (persea gratissima) oil, carrot (daucus carota sativa) oil, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin e). May contain +/- iron oxides CI 77019 CI77891.

How to Apply Cream Blush

I love cream blush but it can be tricky to apply sometimes. Ere Perez’s blushers are especially pigmented so my advice is to apply a small amount then build it up, if needed. These blushers are easy to build and causes no problems layering.

Heat a small amount of blusher on the tips of my fingers which then makes it easier to apply. I slowly build the colour up. I have really pale skin so you might be able to wear more blusher than me.

I apply all my cream blushers this way. Apart from blushers in a tube. I squeeze a small amount onto the back of my hand then apply a small amount and blend out.

You can use a brush if you like or a makeup sponge. I do like using a sponge too. I find this helps blend it out without streaks and keeps it looking fresh.

Using Ere Perez as a Lip Colour

Ere Perez Carrot Colour Pots are multi-purpose and make great lip colours too. They’re not as long wearing on the lips. They do apply easily and tie the whole makeup look together nicely.

Using a lip brush gives a more precise finish and makes the colour easier to build. I also love how they look when applied with the fingertips.

Applying a small amount of the carrot pot gives a lovely tint to the lips. If you love the Korean lip makeup style these are great products to recreate that blurred out lip look.

Best Cream Blushers

I love Ere Perez Carrot Colour Pots and highly recommend them. Here are some more of my favourite cream (and liquid!) blushers:

• Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush is a beautiful liquid blusher that is more on the subtle side but can be built up.
• Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge is a long standing favourite. Another great multi-purpose product. The only thing letting it down slightly is its longevity.
• ELF Putty Blush– this is a new cream blush to me but so far I’m really liking it, plus it’s a fraction of the price of the other blushers. One of the best drugstore cream blushers I’ve tried!
