Typology Tinted Serum
I’m not usually a tinted serum person. But I love Typology Skincare and was interested in reviewing the new Typology Tinted Serum. I’m so pleased that I did! Read on for my full review…
I’ve tried several Typology skincare products now, you can read my Typology review here. I’ve really liked every one so I was keen to try the newest release from them, their Tinted Serum. I was sent two shades from Typology. Tinted Serum Type 1 Fair is the perfect shade for my pale skin. More about the shade range later!
What is Typology Tinted Serum?
Typology Tinted Serum is a light coverage serum with a natural, radiant finish. Your skin will look even and healthy.
Typology Tinted Serum is enriched with vitamin c, squalane and aloe vera. To care and protect your skin throughout the day.
It comes in a glass bottle with a dropper (which can be slightly annoying!). You get 30ml/ 1fl. oz. of tinted serum.
It’s 99% natural origin and free from fragrance, silicones, nanoparticles, parabens and more. You can read about their blacklisted ingredients here.

Typology Tinted Serum Shades
There are 6 shades available in the range from light through to dark. The shade range is based on Fitzpatrick Phototype Scale. So there should be a shade to suit everyone, hopefully!
I was sent the two lightest shades and while Type 1 is a really good match, I can also wear Type 2. So the shade range is really quite adaptable.
What Skin Type is Typology Tinted Serum For?
Typology say that this is suitable for all skin types. Oilier skin types will probably need to set with some powder, but I do agree that I think all skin types would suit this.
While it’s an enriching serum with squalane in it, it isn’t oily, which I was really surprised about.
How do you Apply Typology Tinted Serum?
Typology say that you can apply their serum with either a brush or your fingers. I found this best applies with fingers. It applies unbelievably easily! No streaks, no clinging to dry patches, or sinking into wrinkles. It’s easy to blend and is buildable. You won’t get a high coverage with this though.

My Thoughts on Typology Tinted Serum
As I said at the start I didn’t think I’d be such a big fan of this. I do love a fuller coverage foundation like Estee Lauder Double Wear (it’s so adaptable, you can make it light coverage or full on). But I really love Typology’s tinted serum. It’s one of the best tinted serums I’ve tried.
It’s so easy to apply, it blends easy and lasts all day (which I was really surprised about!). The coverage is light and I can get a light-medium coverage with this. It gives a natural, healthy radiance to the skin.
If you would like extra coverage I recommend using a concealer where coverage is needed.
I am absolutely loving ELF Hydrating Camo Concealer at the moment. For someone who struggles with concealers for under the eyes this has been a life saver (yes, a life saver). Full review coming soon! I did review ELF 16hr Camo Concealer here.
So I’m a big fan of Typology Tinted Serum. Even if you think a serum or a light coverage foundation isn’t for you, you might be surprised by this!
