Typology Paris is the new (ish) French skin care brand from the creator of Made.com. This affordable, minimalist skincare range is full of stripped back products reminiscent of The Ordinary but with a luxury edge. Read on for my review!
Typology Skincare Review
I was sent a selection of Typology products that aim to slow down the appearance of ageing. Here’s a list of all the products with mini reviews:
Typology Cleansers Review
Typology Solid Hydrating Cleansing Bar– this smells incredible! A hydrating, gentle facial soap that doesn’t strip the skin. I like this for using in the morning. One bar will last for absolutely ages!
Typology Cleansing Oil with 7 Ingredients– a great cleansing oil that easily removes everything and doesn’t leave a residue. Doesn’t sting the eyes and is gentle to sensitive skin. I can’t fault this, great cleansing ingredients that’s soothing to the skin.
Typology Orange Blossom Hydrolate– one of my favourite products I was sent! This floral water hydrates and brightens. Applied after cleansing to prep the skin for the next treatment. I also decanted some of the orange blossom water into a spray so I could use it as a facial spray throughout the day. I’m definitely trying more of the hydrolates!
Typology Active Serums Review
Typology Hyaluronic acid 3% + B5 2% serum– a good, solid hydrating serum. Sinks in easily, feels moisturising and doesn’t cause me any irritation. I think hyaluronic acid should be part of any skin routine. This serum is a good addition if you’re looking for a no-fuss, active serum.
Typology Retinol 0.3% serum– I love retinol and have been using it for quite a while now. I wrote about retinoids in this blog post about how to apply skincare. I experienced no irritation or adverse effects using Typology’s retinol and I do have sensitive skin. Remember if you use retinol or any other retinoid to ALWAYS use sun screen, in fact, just always apply your sun screen!
Typology Vitamin C 11% Serum– vitamin c is an amazing antioxidant ingredient (I wrote this post about how important antioxidants are for your skin). Typology’s vitamin c serum sinks in easily and leaves no sticky residue. If you’re looking for a brightening skincare product this is worth a try!
Typology Moisturiser
Typology 9-Ingredients Facial Moisturiser- this is one of my favourites from the range. Deeply hydrating but leaves no greasy residue. The nine ingredients are:
Hyaluronic acid
Organic coconut oil
Purified water
Vegetable glycerin
Coconut cetyl alcohol
Coconut cetyl phosphate
Sodium hydroxide
Potassium sorbate & Sodium benzoate
Typology Pefumes Review
I was really excited when I saw Typology also does perfumes. I love the mix of scents in these natural fragrances. Typology perfumes kind of remind me of Le Labo (this is my favourite Le Labo fragrance).
I’m a big fan of citrus scents with interesting floral smells mixed in. So my favourites from the Typology fragrance wardrobe are Yuzu Mandarine and Jasmin Neroli, oh and a shout out to Pamplemousse Petitgrain.
Like everything from the Typology range the fragrances have been really thoughtfully put together. Sometimes less is more and Typology really does prove that.
I am seriously impressed by everything about Typology- the branding is stunning, the thought gone into the ingredients is impressive and the focus on sustainability is amazing. I really recommend trying Typology Paris, I am certain you will find at least one product you will love.
