Davines OI All in One Milk is the eco-friendly all-in-one wonder hair product you need in your life. It’ll smooth, tame and condition your hair.
My hair is having a bit of a hard time. I think this year has been too much for it so it’s decided to uproot (pretty good eh?) and throw itself down the plughole.
I can’t blame it really, it’s been a tough year for most of us (*cough* Brexit *cough*). I don’t think it’s the political situation that’s affecting my poor hair though; it’s much worse than the total collapse of a country, it’s the perimenopause. The perimenopause? What’s perimenopause you may ask. Well, my inquisitive little reader it’s like this demon lives inside of you, it steals your energy, it eats up your hormones and it makes you try to kill the people you love* (*just my husband really). Hair loss along with insomnia, depression, anxiety and a delightful concoction of other symptoms make up perimenopause. And this is just the transition before the big show, menopause. Oh God, I’m going to end up in prison for murder, please forgive me.
Anywaaaay, hair loss has been a really awful symptom. I have lots and lots of hair and it’s also quite thick so I don’t think my thinning hair is immediately noticeable. After I gave birth and stopped breastfeeding I never lost any hair, so thinning hair has been quite a shock (and upset) to me. I’ve been trying different shampoos and conditioners, which I will write about soon, but one of my most favourite finds has been Davines OI All in One Milk. I’ve been using Davines shampoo and conditioner for colour treated hair and loved it so I thought I’d try more from the brand.
Davines is a really interesting brand. They focus on sustainability and low/no impact products and their ingredients are kind to the hair as well as the environment. Now while my hair is thinning I still have thick, uncontrollable and sometimes frizzy hair so I always need some kind of product to soften my mane as well as smooth it out. After a bit of research I decided to buy Davines OI All in One Milk. This wonder product does pretty much everything, it’s a leave in conditioner, a heat protector, a smoothing serum, a detangler and also a good listener. I find it works amazing on my dry hair (less thick hair might not think so though). I spray some of this milky-oily-watery liquid on wet hair before brushing and it instantly smooths and calms my wavy (almost curly) very thick hair. One of the reasons Davines all in one milk is such a big hit for me is that it never feels like I have product in my hair, instead my hair feels super soft, under control and it looks healthy.
PIN FOR LATER!
Davines All in One Milk is going in my HG product list (you can see some of my favourites here). This amazing multi-purpose hair product does everything, it smooths, gives shine, conditions, protects and more. I’m also writing a separate post for my current favourite sulphate and paraben free haircare. As well as some of my absolute favourite beauty products from 2018, new and old.
A Thank You
I’d just like to thank you for reading and commenting on my blog and social media channels throughout the year. Blogging, or rather, Instagram, has been hard going this year. More botting, more buying followers, more fraud which is making it increasingly difficult for genuine bloggers/Instagrammers to make any traction. So I hugely appreciate the genuine community I have.
I’ve been following Elizabeth’s social media free journey here. Blogging and the social media attached to it often means you’re constantly on and there is so much noise, it’s very easy to get lost in it. Anyway, I’m not sure where I’m going with this. I’m just airing frustrations in the hope that something will finally change in 2019. People who are incredibly creative and talented are *still* getting overlooked due to fake follower numbers (and fake everything).
I’m going to take some time off over the Christmas and New Year to think about what I’m going to do next. Remember I have a Pinterest newsletter you can sign up to, it’s jam packed full of information on Pinterest! And the very most important thing:
I hope you have a great Christmas/holiday and I hope 2019 is your best year yet <3
