Sunday Treat: Jordana Cosmetics

jordana cosmetics featuring their sweet cream matte lip color and sculpt n go contour stick.

I’m hoping this will be the start of a little series featuring cheap and cheerful treats that won’t cost the earth but will still be pretty damn amazing. So to kick it off I’ll start with a new brand to me Jordana Cosmetics.

I came across Jordana Cosmetics on Pinterest while looking for some nude lipsticks. The pin that first attracted me to the American brand featured Jordana’s Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Color. The first shade I saw was (oh look a palindrome!) Creme Brulee, a pale pinky mauve. This should have been the perfect shade for me but it just washes me out. The formula is amazing though. Really similar to  NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream. Both products have a vanilla scent, however I find the Jordana to be less creamy than the NYX versions.

I also ordered the shade Tiramisu, a beautiful pinky terracotta. It is very 90s and just the most amazing shade. I’ve been wearing it pretty much everyday since I got it and will probably buy some backups. Jordana’s Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Color apply very easily and build up nicely. Tiramisu lasts absolutely ages on my lips. I really can’t recommend giving these a try highly enough, especially Tiramisu I absolutely love it. You can get Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Color from Beauty Bay here.

I didn’t want to pay for delivery so I added Jordana Sculpt n Go Cream Contour stick to my basket. Contouring is something I very rarely do but I watch Katie Jane Hughes on Instagram and thought I’d give it a go. (You should follow Katie, her attitude to makeup is great and she always does the most amazing makeup looks.) Jordana Sculpt n Go Cream Contour in Light has been a complete revelation. Light is a cool taupe shade perfect for pale skin (it also comes in medium and dark) and the bullet shape means applying the creamy contour is incredibly easy. Jordana Sculpt n Go Cream Contour blends out nicely and gives a really nice natural looking contour. I am so impressed with it, if you have bother getting a natural looking contour I can’t recommend this highly enough and it’s only £6 from Beauty Bay.
