Bed Head by TIGI are always pushing their products’ technologies. Last year they released Joyride Texturising Powder Balm* ( I reviewed here) and their newest products also employ cutting edge technologies. The new range Fully Loaded is designed to give volume and texture to even the finest of hairs. It does this by adding fibres and elastin to the hair, so I’m wondering if they’re similar to the famous Philip Kingsley Elasticiser. Fully Loaded is also designed to give that messy hair that’s synonymous with the Bed Head brand.I’ve tried the shampoo and conditioner but there’s also a finishing spray and volume boosting foam available.
I’d normally like to try a bit more than one use so these are my initial thoughts but I do really like Bedhead Fully Loaded Massive Volume shampoo* and Volumising Conditioning Jelly* so I’ll most probably purchase the full sizes and update if I change my mind.
So Bedhead Fully Loaded Massive Volume shampoo* first. The first thing I noticed is the smell, it smells so good! Like a beautiful fruit smoothie, it really is nice and not to be shallow or anything I’d probably just purchase this for the smell alone. The shampoo feels silky soft and lathers up nicely giving a deep clean but not stripping the hair either. Since I haven’t used this long-term I’m unsure if it’s suitable for coloured hair (which mine is) but I don’t think it’ll help the longevity of dye.
I then followed up with the interestingly named Fully Loaded Volumising Conditioning Jelly*. This feels like a wobbly conditioner and again has the same amazing smell the shampoo does. This is a bit different from standard conditioners as it actually seems to sink into the hair, kind of similar to a moisturiser sinking into the skin. It rinses out easily and left my hair soft but not overly so, which I prefer as I think too soft hair can be difficult to style.
I then used my usual products which are Tresemme Keratin Smooth Treatment (you can read about it here in my most repurchased products) and also Phyto Straightening Balm which you can also read here . I have quite thick hair as it is but sometimes it can be a bit flat so I do like a product to give my hair a bit of a boost and I think the new Bed Head Fully Loaded has done this. If you’re looking for products to give you fuller looking hair this range is worth a look. As well as giving it a bit of oompf Bedhead Fully Loaded also added texture. It feels like a have a texturising product in my hair, there’s a bit of hold there and if my hair does go flat I just shoosh it up a bit and it takes hold again. This is thanks to the fibres and elastin in Fully Loaded. My hair was easier to style, it behaved better and looked fuller. So as I say I’ve only used this one but I like results I’ve experienced and I’d definitely buy full size products.
The new Bed Head Fully Loaded range is due to launch 1 June.
