Nanokeratin System Shampoo and Mask for Coloured Hair

I have been really struggling with my hair recently. I’ve always had thick hair and it’s only got thicker after pregnancy and birth. I barely shed anything. Don’t get me wrong on, I’m grateful I have a full head of hair BUT it’s hard work. So I thought the best thing to do would be to cut it all off. I got a very short, pixie type cut and I just don’t really like it so I’ve been growing it out. But it’s not growing out easily. My hair has decided to become frizzy and ‘clumpy’, I’m not able to go to a hair dressers very often due to illness so I’m trying to persevere with products at the moment. I CANNOT wait until next week though when I’m getting it cut. Anyway, I was sent some samples of Nanokeratin System to try at home.

Nanokeratin say: “we have formulated a patented and unique system enhanced with biomimetic ingredients that are based on advanced micro size molecular science that imbue even the smallest hair fibres to activate the inner hair cortex and create a non-soluble shield against environmental elements.

The overall aim of the range is to create healthy, smooth and shiny hair. The products I’ve been using are the Nanokeratin Restore Preserve Colour Shampoo and Replenish Colour Preserving Mask.

Nanokeratin System Re-Store Preserve Colour Shampoo* is a paraben and sulphate free shampoo, which is good because I recently had a horrible experience with a very popular (with bloggers) shampoo, it brought my scalp out in painful sores. I might do a post about it because it was just awful and took quite a while to clear up. So far I’ve had no adverse effects with this. It left my hair clean without feeling stripped and my scalp comfortable. My hair is smoother and not as frizzy after using this. An excellent shampoo.

Nanokeratin System Re-Condition Colour Preserving Mask* is also sulphate-free and contains an anti-fade effect similar to the shampoo. This just means it won’t strip your hair colour like some other shampoo and conditioners can. The conditioning mask is very rich, almost like a balm. It slides through the hair easily and really gives a deep condition. I love this conditioner, it’s well worth the investment if your hair is in poor condition. My hair is soft but not overly so, smooth and it looks healthy. Ah why do you have to be so expensive??

I really like both these products but they are pricey. I especially love the mask, I haven’t used a product that feels so repairing and conditioning but it costs almost £60! Ouch. Rush Shop currently have it for £52 here and the shampoo (£18.75) here.  Or you can purchase from Toni & Guy here.

Have you tried anything from this range?
